Growing up in Thailand, with a grandmother who made everything from scratch, inspired chef/owner Anny Sooksri to bring all her favorites to her customers.

As a result, at Tea Rose Thai Express, our food is always made in-house, using the freshest ingredients we can gather, with no MSG. We concentrate on quality ingredients without artificial additives, as well as flavor. 

Culinary Traditions-Growing up in a kitchen where even the flour was made from scratch, chef/owner Anny Sooksri understands how Thai food should taste and enjoys bringing her authentic version to customers. As an experienced restauranter, Anny continues to bring unique offerings to the foodies of Utah.

Thailand-open-aired markets line the streets in Thailand so buying fresh produce and ingredients is a way of life. People there tend to buy what they need, one meal at a time. Chef/owner Anny Sooksri brings that custom to all her kitchens. Nothing is frozen, no premade sauces are found there. Everything is prepared and cooked the day it will be served.  

Comfort Food-Noodles have always been a staple and source of comfort food to chef/owner Anny Sooksri. Growing up in Thailand, she ate more noodles than rice. With so many variations available, if her imagination hasn't already come with it, feel free to order yours your own way. 

Anny

Anny has always enjoyed the flavors of Thai food. Her passion for cooking began early on since having grown up with a grandmother who loved to cook and made everything from scratch. Her desire to share her love of Thai food with her community led her to the opening of her first restaurant, Tea Rose Diner in 2007. From there she has gone on to open Chabaar (2011) Fav Bistro (2017) and Tea Rose Thai Express (2022). Anny’s passion is tasted in every entree, at every restaurant. Running five restaurants is a labor of love for her, but when she does have some free-time, she enjoys biking, hiking and sharing meals with friends.

Jeff

Jeff met Anny while frequenting Tea Rose Diner as a customer 12 years ago, the rest, as they say, is history. Jeff is an amazing carpenter and all around jack of all trades and literally maintains all the buildings in their restaurant empire. In addition, many American influenced items created by Jeff can be found on the Fav Bistro menu, from the Kombucha to the cookies. Jeff also believes in serving customers the purest ingredients possible, therefore he made it a priority to have purified water in all locations. No tap water served or cooked with here.
